Cut the white yam into pieces and take it in a pan. Add Salt ,water and cover cook it until done.Then add crushed cumin seeds and coarsely ground coconut , pearl onions and green chillies.season it with some coconut oil and curry leaves.cover and keep 2 minutes on low heat.Serve hot.
